Life

What is the value of life? before knowing this, let's first know what actually life is. "Life" the word which contains only 4 alphabets, but has a very vast meaning in it. The best definition which I have got regarding life is "Life is a moment we are living right now". But this is not the reality, in fact, in reality, we see our lives in a much different way. We live one routine of a day for almost 90 years and we call it a life. You work hard and you make money but all you do it for yourself, this is not life. Ever thought what you have given to the society by this?. The day when you realise you have changed someone's life and because of this, that person didn't give up, that is the day when you actually lived your life.

Life has a very strong connection with time. If you are not living your life it means that you are also wasting your time. So never ever take your life for granted. Now, let's know the value of your life, which can be best described in this beautiful story.

THE STORY

The true value of your life

So, one day a son asked his father" what is the value of my life". His father said " That's a very big question" and then he gave his son a stone and told him to go to the market and if anyone asks the price of it, don't say a word, just raise up two fingers. His son took the stone and went to the market, there he met an old woman who asked him the price of the stone, he raised his two fingers. "Oh, $20 I'll take it," said the women. After listening to this, the son went to his father and told him everything. Then his father told," Son, now I want you to go to the museum with this same stone". His son went to the museum next, there he came across a man, who asked him the price of the stone. The son raised his two fingers. "Oh, $200 I'll take it," said the man. After listening to this, the son went to his father and told him everything. Then his father told "Son, now I want you to go to the jewellery store with this stone". His son went to the jewellery store. The jeweller screamed and said, "Oh my god, where have you been, I have been looking this stone for my whole life." The jeweller asked the price of the stone and the son again raised his two fingers."Oh, $200,000 I'll take it. The son was confused by that time and went to his father and told him everything. Then his father said, "Now you came to know the value of your life, son".

Life is all about where you place yourself. You can decide whether you want to be a $20 stone or a $200,000 stone. People will value you based on their point of view, their belief and their level of knowledge towards you and that is why you should always surround yourself with those people that actually value you, like the jeweller value that stone.

CONCLUSION

Nowadays, people find their happiness in materialistic things. For example, look at the statements below

  •  Whether you travel in business class or economy class, your destination remains the same
  • Similarly, whether you wear a normal Fastrack or a Rolex, your time remains the same, isn't it?
The problem is with the increase in the standard of living, we actually forgot to increase our standard of life. There is nothing wrong if you travel in business class or wear a Rolex, but remember always these are all your standard of living. It is not the standard of living that makes you happy but the standard of life that makes you happy. So, never ever compromise your standard of life with your standard of living.

Some people in the world are poor, so poor and absolutely so poor that all they have in their life is 'Money'. If all you have is money in your life then you are actually the poorest in the world. You can be the richest person but besides that, you can also be the most depressed one too. There is always more to life than just money. People always say "Money can't buy happiness" but there are only a few who knows the value of this line. The value of your life cannot be measured with your money, it can only be measured with the way you live your life. If you really want to know how much rich you are, then just drop a tear from your eye and see how many hands come to wipe that tear. So, what is standard of life?. Standard of life is not in things, in fact, it's in people, it's in relationships and most importantly it's in YOU.

Nowadays we only focus on the standard of living, thinking that one-day happiness will come our way, but that day actually never comes because we choose a wrong way for that thing. The most beautiful, the most valuable and the most precious gift one could ever get is 'life' and life will actually be very short if people will change their vision to see things.

      "Stay blessed"
